Shortly after Atlantis sank thousands of years ago, the court official in charge of preventing girls from learning to read, an evil man named Caliban, formed the Caliban Society in order to keep alive his dream of a world in which only boys were taught to read.  The Caliban Society has been working toward that goal ever since.  It has many secret, evil plots to keep girls from reading.  One way it does this is to sneak into libraries and take out books that girls might enjoy.  They burn great piles of these books in their secret, evil ceremonies.  A good way to foil their plans is for Girls Guilders to check out library books so that Caliban Society members can’t get them.

The symbol of the Caliban Society is a skull sitting on top of a closed book.  The symbol represents the oath that all Calibaners should be willing to give their lives in order to keep girls from reading.

Girls Guilders, this is an important news flash: The password to the secret Caliban Society website has been discovered by our undercover agents! We can now visit the Caliban Society website and spy on their evil plans without them knowing. The secret password is . . . Atlantis!

Here is a funny prank you can play on the Caliban Society website to help spoil their evil plans.

First, go to the Caliban Society website by going to www.calibansociety.com.

When you get to their site, click on the black background.  Then find your arrow keys on your keyboard like the ones in the picture.  Press the arrow keys in the following order:  up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right.  Then press the letter B key, then the letter A key.  Then, every time you hit another key while you are on the site, something funny will happen — we won’t spoil the surprise by telling you what!  (If nothing happens, try again and make sure you get the secret order of the keys to press exactly right!)
